The Predators Are Stuck in a Loop

Same story, different season. Flash some brilliance, cough up a lead, look like contenders at the start of the year, then trip over their own skates. It’s not a rebuild, not a real push, just a team stuck in limbo, too stubborn to tank, too flawed to go anywhere.

Saros stands on his head. Forsberg does Forsberg things. Josi well who knows where he is. But the defense leaks, the power play disappears, and suddenly, another winnable game slips away. Brunette was supposed to bring offense, but this team still doesn’t know what the hell it wants to be. The constant line changes. It’s not a well oiled machine.

They can fix it, if they stop waiting for fate to bail them out. If not? Nashville’s got plenty of bars to drown the disappointment.
